Bourbon-Glazed Donuts
Ingredients
For the Donuts
- 2 C All-Purpose Flour
- ½ C Granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- ¾ C Whole Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 3 T Melted Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Oil for Frying
For the Bourbon Glaze
- 1 ½ C Powdered Sugar
- 2–3 T Bourbon
- 1 T Milk (if needed)
- ½ tsp Vanilla
- Pinch of Salt

Instructions
1. Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together in a large bowl.
2. Combine the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla in a separate bowl until smooth.
3. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry mixture just until incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
4. Heat oil in a heavy pot to 350°F.
5. Roll the dough onto a lightly floured surface and cut into donut shapes about ½-inch thick.
6. Fry the donuts in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
7. Remove the donuts with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain.
8. Whisk the powdered sugar, bourbon, vanilla, and salt together to create a smooth glaze. Add milk if needed for consistency.
9. Dip each warm donut into the glaze and let excess drip off.
10. Rest the donuts on a rack until the glaze sets slightly.
