Chili-Chocolate Dipped Apples

Servings: 6-8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 6 small Crisp Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 8 oz Dark Chocolate (70% cacao), chopped
  • 1 T Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Aleppo Pepper
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt
  • Toppings: Crushed Pretzels, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, or Orange/Black Sprinkles

Instructions 

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry apples.
  2. Insert wooden sticks into the tops.
  3. Melt chocolate with coconut oil over a double boiler (or microwave in 30-second bursts). Stir until smooth.
  4. Stir in Aleppo pepper and sea salt. Taste and adjust heat level.
  5. Dunk each apple into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat.
  6. Place on parchment paper.
  7. While still wet, sprinkle with pretzels, seeds, or festive sprinkles.
  8. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until chocolate hardens.
