Chocolate Skillet Cake

Ingredients
- 4 T Unsalted Butter
- ½ C Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- ¼ C Granulated Sugar
- 2 T Brown Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- ¼ C All-Purpose Flour
- 2 T Cocoa Powder
- ¼ tsp Kosher Salt
- Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream, for serving

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place a small oven-safe skillet (6–7 inches) inside while it warms.
- Melt the butter and chocolate together, in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Whisk the sugars into the chocolate mixture until combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla, stirring until glossy and smooth.
- Gently stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt just until combined. The batter should be thick but spreadable.
- Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven and lightly grease it.
- Spread the batter evenly and return to the oven.
- Bake for 14–18 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
- Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and serve straight from the skillet.
