Creme Brulee French Toast Casserole
Time: 60 mins + overnight soaking
Servings: 8 servings
Ingredients
- 1 Loaf French Bread, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 8 Large Eggs
- 2 C Whole Milk
- 1 C Heavy Cream
- ½ C Granulated Sugar
- ¼ C Light Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 T Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Ground Nutmeg
- ¼ tsp Salt
Topping:
- ½ C Unsalted Butter, cold & diced
- 1 C Light Brown Sugar, packed
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Ground Nutmeg

Instructions
- Grease a 9x13 baking dish and place the cubed French bread evenly in the dish.
- Whisk the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the bread, pressing the bread down to absorb the liquid.
- Cover & refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Topping: Combine light brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and diced butter in a bowl.
- Mix with a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle over the soaked bread.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and crisp.
- Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup.
